We are starting a new Category that we thought would be a fun way to show some of our work. Screen Print of the Month. Every Month we will be bringing what we think is an interesting print. It could be a simple one color or a complicated simulated process run.
This Month's screen print was done for Holistic Apothecary. A new company that was handing out free Tees during her Grand Opening.
It was a pretty straight forward print. On the black tees we printed white, red, kelly, and yes...black. On the white tees we printed the same design without the white. The only change that we did was putting some tape on the black screen over the bottom black text when we printed the black tees. All the screens used were 230 yellow mesh. The halftones were at 45 lpi. In the pics you can see gaps between some of the coloring and the black outlines, and in parts it looks like some black is missing. But,...that is how it should be. The Holistic logo itself was a hand drawn and colored design and the client wished to keep it that way without using too many spot colors to achieve the final print.
In the end, I think it came out pretty cool.
